INSURANCE INFORMATION

Pain Specialists of Florida accepts all major insurance plans and, as a service to our patients, will bill your visit or surgical procedure to your insurance company on your behalf.  However, it is important to note that we are not contracted with all insurance companies, nor even all of the insurance plans within a contracted company.  A physician’s contract status can greatly affect how your plan will cover your visit. 

Many times, patients visiting non-contracted physicians will carry a larger financial responsibility.  Because there are thousands of plans offered in Florida alone, Pain Specialists of Florida strongly encourages you to check with your insurance provider to understand how your specific benefits will cover you for your clinic visit.  If a procedure is required, the billing staff at Pain Specialists of Florida will handle requesting pre-authorization for the procedure date and type. 

Pain Specialists of Florida holds contracts with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Cigna, United Health, Medicare, and Medicaid. 

Any copayments, co-insurance, or deductible amounts will be collected during your clinic visit.  

In a changing healthcare climate it is important to point out that health insurance is a mechanism to help afford treatment, but ultimately you are responsible for your medical bills.  Pain Specialists of Florida encourages you to be an active and informed healthcare consumer!
